Paloma Valley Girls Soccer Team Wraps Up Sunbelt League Title

Jackie Armijo and Bailey Calhoun scored goals and goalkeeper Christina Rodriguez recorded a shutout Wednesday to lead the Paloma Valley High School girls soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Temescal Canyon.

The win in the team's regular-season finale improved Paloma's record to 7-0-3 in Sunbelt League play and 16-2-6 overall. The Wildcats are the Sunbelt League champions entering the CIF playoffs, which begin next week.

First-round matchups will be announced on Monday. Chloe Atkins and Jada Brown assisted on the goals.
