Paloma Valley, Heritage Wrestlers Fare Well in CIF Finals

Four wrestlers from Paloma Valley High School and one from Heritage High placed among the top five in their weight divisions Saturday in the CIF Southern Section finals, qualifying for next weekend's CIF Masters Meet.

For Paloma Valley, Chris Kocay placed second in the heavyweight division; Marshall Palmer placed second at 145 pounds; Jose Espinosa finished second at 106 pounds; and Nick Hughes placed fifth at 152 pounds.

Heritage's Shannon Paris, competing at 145 pounds, placed fifth and also earned a trip to the Masters Meet, which will take place Friday and Saturday, Feb. 22-23, at Temecula Valley High School.
