Amanda Gomez (center, above) scored the game's only goal off an assist by Chloe Atkins as the Paloma Valley High School girls soccer team beat Hemet 1-0 on Friday.
Wildcats goalkeeper Christina Rodriquez had 10 saves. The defense was led by Jackie Armijo (17, below), one of the team's most consistent players this season. Paloma Valley now has an 8-2-2 record this season.
