The AYSO Menifee Girls U10 Extra Team "X-Plosion" recently took second place at the Thunderbird Classic Tournament.
In its second tournament this season, the team faced tough competition from 12 teams that included a combination of local teams and those traveling from distances as far as Santa Barbara.
The first game of the tournament was a nail biter in which the team was down by one goal and came back to win against a tough La Quinta team. The teams then met for the championship. Out of six games, the X-Plosion held the opposing teams to only five goals and scored 13 goals in total.
